HA NOI (VNS)—Thailand defended their title at the Yamaha ASEAN U13 Football Cup yesterday in Ha Noi.

The Thai team beat the Indonesia Red team 3-2 after extra time.

It is the third time Thailand have won the tournament since it started in 2008.

In the third-place playoff, Viet Nam 1 defeated Indonesia White 2-0 to take the bronze medal.

The organisers selected the line-up for the tournament, in which Viet Nam 1, represented by Viettel FC, contributed defender Pham Dinh Han and forward Bui Anh Duc.

Viet Nam 2 (Song Lam Nghe An FC) enrolled the services of defender Nguyen Nghi Phuong.

Player of the tournament went to striker Amirullah Ruslan of Indonesia Red.

Striker Muhamad Yusuf of Indonesia Red was the best scorer with five goals. — VNS
