HCM CITY (VNS) — National athlete Nguyen Thi That sprinted to first place at the second stage of the An Giang Television Cycling Cup yesterday.

The Hat Ngoc Troi member spent 2hr 54.11min completing the 102km distance from Cu Chi District (HCM City) to Ben Tre City (Ben Tre Province).

Nguyen Thuy Dung of Binh Duong Environment-Water Supply and Drainage and Dang Huong Thao from Vinamit HCM City came second and third, respectively.

Phan Thi Lieu, also from Gao Hat Ngoc Troi, held onto the lead after two stages, timing 4:33.26.

Lieu's team currently top the team rankings with a result of 13:40.48.

The 82km third stage will start at Ben Tre and finish in Vinh Long City in Vinh Long Province. — VNS
