HA NOI - Vietnamese athlete To Van Tuyen won a silver medal in the men's 50m pistol event for juniors at the 36th South East Asia Shooting Championships in Malaysia yesterday.

Team mates Bui Hong Phong and Do Van Thanh finished in fifth and sixth place.

Meanwhile, Tran Quoc Cuong topped the preliminary round of the men's 50m pistol event for seniors. He will progress to the next round with seven other leading shooters, including Hoang Xuan Vinh, who qualified for the London Olympics.

The tournament will wrap up on Saturday. – VNS
