As part of its efforts to crack down on harassment of tourists, the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism has instructed travel firms to report all such instances.
The efforts follow a story by Matt Kepnes, an American blogger, titled "Why I'll never return to Viet Nam" in a US newspaper, listing the problems he faced in Viet Nam.
VNAT deputy director general Nguyen Manh Cuong said though the tourism industry has improved in recent years some problems remain.
One of the measures to curb these problems is increasing the responsibility of tourism officials and local authorities, he said. - VNS
