HÀ NỘI – An evening of traditional music exchange between Vietnamese and Chinese youth took place on November 26 in Hà Nội, drawing nearly 500 people from both nations.

Composer Đỗ Hồng Quân, Chairman of the Việt Nam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, highlighted the strong and friendly ties between Việt Nam and China in the fields, particularly music.

Recently, the Nanning People's Committee and the Guangxi Arts University hosted the China-ASEAN music festival and cultural month programmes, featuring the participation of nearly 150 artists as well as two symphony and folk orchestras from Việt Nam.

Chen Yijun, member of the standing board of the Guangxi Party Committee and head of the committee’s publicity department, noted the vital role of music in cultural exchanges between the two countries.
