HA NOI (VNS) — Female Grandmaster Hoang Thi Bao Tram beat China's Ni Shiqun in the Asian Continental Open Chess Championships in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates yesterday.
With this victory, she is now ranked third with 4.5 points out of 32 players in the championship
Today, Tram will play Sukandar Irine Kharisma of Indonesia in the next match.
Nguyen Thi Thanh An remained in the top 10 after the sixth round with 3.5 points. She tied with Karavade Eesha of India yesterday. Today, she will meet her teammate Pham Le Thao Nguyen.
After six rounds, Grandmaster Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son earned 3.5 points to rank 25th out of the 64 players. Although Dao Thien Hai had earned 3.5 points, yet he is ranked 27th due to a different auxiliary index.
