compete in the Women's World Chess Championships 2012 in
Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from November 9 to December 3.
Hoang Thanh Trang, formerly of Viet Nam, will compete in the Women's World Chess Championships 2012 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from November 9 to December 3.
Trang will compete alongside 27 other European women in this year's event, which is expected to attract 64 players.
Trang is seeded No 22 and will meet Russian Evgenija Ovod in her first match.
Trang is a Hungarian Grand Master who was born in Ha Noi and moved to Budapest with her family at the age of 10. Her victories include the 1998 World Girls Junior (U20) Championship, the 2005 European Chess Club Championship and the 2011 European Women's Rapid Championship.
Viet Nam has no representatives at the tournament after failing at the regional qualifying rounds.-VNS
