KUALA LUMPUR (VNS)— The treasures of the Dong Son Civilisation are on display at the Department of Museums, Malaysia.
The display features about 100 exhibits, photographs, and documentaries belonging to the Viet Nam National History Museum and the Malaysian department.
The objects on display are characteristic of the Dong Son Civilisation and highlight the intricacies of the bronze sculpture technique. The exhibition also sheds light on the impact of the Dong Son culture in Malaysia.
It is an opportunity to showcase and popularise the Vietnamese traditions and historic culture to the Malaysian visitors, according to a representative of the Viet Nam museum.
The exhibition is one of the activities held to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the discovery of the Dong Son Civilisation (1924-2014). The Dong Son culture, dating back 2,500 years, has been recognised as one of Viet Nam's national treasures.
