HCM CITY (VNS) — Truong Nhat Truong of Domesco Dong Thap won yesterday's second stage of the Countryside cycling tournament.

Truong finished the 130km segment from Rach Gia City to Ca Mau City with a time of 3hr 36.36min, followed by Nguyen Nam Cuc of Ca Mau Fertiliser and Eng Lin of Cambodia.

Nguyen Minh Thien won the yellow jersey after completing the second stage with the best time of 5:26.01.

Meanwhile, first stage winner Pham Minh Triet of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang dropped to second place. Truong came in third in the overall tournament.

In the team ranking, Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang continued leading the race, with a time of 16:19.51. An Giang Plant Protection and Vinh Long continue to hold second and third places, respectively.

This morning, cyclists will race from Ca Mau City to Soc Trang City on 117km. — VNS
