HA NOI (VNS) — Defender Nguyen Minh Tung signed a three-year contract with Quang Ninh Coal after he was called to the national team which will compete at next month's ASEAN Football Federation Cup.

Tung's outstanding performance in three matches at the Asian Games last month made him a hot name in the domestic free market.

Previously, he became jobless after Vissai Ninh Binh withrew from the V-League tournament. His salary was not disclosed, but according to a reliable source, Tung received at least VND2 billion (US$95,200) for this move. — VNS
