Martial artist Nguyen Thanh Tung brought home one more gold for Viet Nam in the men's taijiquan event at the Asian Wushu Championships in HCM City yesterday.
Tung topped the leaderboard with a score of 9.68 points, followed by Chinese Macau's Lao Chon In (9.61 points) and Singapore's Weet Wee Key (9.59 points).
In the women's taijiquan event, Tran Thi Minh Huyen scooped bronze with a score of 9.61 points. The gold medal went to Japan's Uchida Ai, who scored 9.68 points, while Malaysia's Chai Fong Ying received 9.66 points to earn a silver medal.
Pham Quoc Khanh bagged his second silver medal of the tournament in the men's nangun event with a score of 9.66 points, building on the silver medal success he enjoyed in the men's nanquan event on the second competition day on Wednesday. Pipping Khanh by 0.01 points, South Korea's Kim Tae-ho took the gold medal, while Myanmar's Soc Kyaw won a bronze medal, on 9.64 points. — VNS
