HA NOI (VNS) — Thai Thanh Tung has been appointed coach of the national women's volleyball team.
Tung replaces former coach Pham Van Long, who was criticised for his bad behaviour and words against his players and other officials on the court.
Tung had been in charge of the national team in 2009. He was managing PDV Thai Binh, who are competing at the National Volleyball Championships in Thai Binh Province.
The National Sports Administration said a foreign coach would arrive in Viet Nam soon to manage the team.
