HA NOI —(VNS) The Vietnamese U22 team will play Myanmar U23s in the opening Group A match of the BIDC Cup this afternoon at Cambodia's Olympic Stadium.

An official draw held last week also bracketed Thailand in the same group, while Group B matched the hosts with Laos and Malaysia.

Under coach Dinh Van Dung, the team is expected to showcase its talent throughout the tournament and be ready to support the U23 team that will represent Viet Nam at the coming SEA Games.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, while the winners will walk away with US$20,000. — VNS
