HÀ NỘI — Award-winning filmmaker and attorney Sharon Rowen will present on gender discrimination in the workplace through a screening of her documentary film Balancing the Scales on May 10 at the American Centre, 170 Ngọc Khánh Street.  

Rowen is both an Atlanta trial attorney and an award-winning filmmaker. Balancing the Scales is the culmination of 20 years of interviewing women lawyers in the quest to expose the challenges facing women in the field of law. The film has been shown throughout the US.  

The American Film Showcase brings award-winning contemporary American documentaries, independent narrative films and storytelling know-how to audiences around the world. In the framework of AFS, Rowen is travelling to Việt Nam, Laos and Myanmar to promote the rule of law and gender equity. 

She will give presentations at universities in Hà Nội and HCM City. — VNS
