Variety programme supports homosexual


A Viet Pride 2013 programme will be held at the Ha Noi Goethe Institute with film screenings, discussions and talk shows on homosexuality from August 2-4.

HA NOI (VNS)– A Viet Pride 2013 programme will be held at the Ha Noi Goethe Institute with film screenings, discussions and talk shows on homosexuality from August 2-4.

Films tackling LGBT issues will be shown including the German movie Aimee&Jaguar; two American pictures - The Truth About Jane and Boys Don't Cry; two French films Like the Others and A Love to Hide; plus Thailand's Beautiful Boxer.

There will be open talk sessions on August 3 with writers and photographers whose artworks have raised awareness and contributed to changes in social attitudes, such as World Press Photo award winner Maika Elan, LGBT author Nguyen Ngoc Thach and My Best Gay Friend sitcom writer Huynh Nguyen Dang Khoa.

On August 4, the historic bicycle rally will be repeated to conclude the 3-day event, followed by happy hour drinks and board games in the evening at Ha Noi Social Club, No6 Hoi Vu Street -- VNS
