HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam defeated Mongolia 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-13) in the second match of Group C at the 2015 Women's Asian Volleyball Championship in Tianjin, China yesterday.
Viet Nam also beat Japan, ranked fifth in the world, 3-2 in the first match. The two wins means Viet Nam will move on to the quarterfinals.
Today they will face Turkmenistan.
The group stage of the biennial nine-day event has 16 teams in four groups competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will move on to the quarterfinals. The final match is scheduled for May 28. — VNS
