HA NOI (VNS)—Viet Nam defeated Hong Kong 5-1 in the second round of the Asian Football Confederation Under-19 qualifying round on Saturday in Malaysia.

Striker Nguyen Cong Phuong scored twice, with Van Son and Nguyen Van Toan netting a goal each for Viet Nam. The final goal was an own goal by Hong Kong.

Forward Tsang Hin scored the only goal for Hong Kong at the 70th minute, making it the first goal of the team at the Championship.

The second win allows Viet Nam to hold onto second place in Group F, behind Australia who are on six points.

Viet Nam will face Australia in the last round today, with the match winner to compete at the finals in Myanmar next year. — VNS
