HA NOI (VNS) — All Vietnamese competitors were out of the Asian Boxing Championships after Nguyen Van Hai's loss on September 2 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hai, competing in the men's U60kg category, was defeated 1-2 by Narimatsu Daisuke of Japan in the quarter-final round.
Earlier, Southeast Asian Games champion Truong Dinh Hoang and Tran Phu Cuong were also eliminated in the quarter-finals.
Hoang lost 0-3 to India's Vikas Krishan in the men's U75kg class and Cuong was defeated by Murodjon Akhmadaliev of Uzbekistan in the men's U56kg category.
The championships will end on September 5. — VNS
