Viet Nam drew 0-0 with a South Korean student team in a friendly match yesterday in Ha Noi.
HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam drew 0-0 with a South Korean student team in a friendly match yesterday in Ha Noi.
While players from both sides had many chances to score, none were successful, although Viet Nam played with 10 men in the last 20 minutes after defender Au Van Hoan was injured and the hosts had used all of their changes.
Coaches Hoang Van Phuc of Viet Nam and Korean Jeong Jin-hyuk confirmed that their teams managed the ball well, but failed to net.
Coach Phuc said the situation would have been different had his best striker, Le Cong Vinh, played.
Vinh suffered a twisted ankle during a training shift on Saturday and was unexpectedly sidelined.
The captain also misses the last match of Viet Nam against Hong Kong during the Asian Cup 2015's qualifying round on Wednesday, played in Ha Noi. — VNS
