HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's national football team have dropped 16 places to No 143 in the July rankings, the International Federation of Association Football has announced.
Viet Nam have lost their No 1 position in the Southeast Asian region to the Philippines, who jumped 13 places to 124.
Thailand also dropped 13 places to 140 to rank second in the region.
In the Asian region, Iran are top at 38, followed by Japan (50) and South Korea (52).
Argentina remain top of the rankings, ahead of Germany and Belgium.
The national women's football team dropped one place to world number 35 in the second quarter of the year.
In the world rankings, the US took top spot, with Germany second and France third. — VNS
