HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam have jumped six places to 136th in the International Federation of Football Association's (FIFA) rankings for October, despite not playing any matches last month.
The Philippines have jumped five places to 129th and are the highest ranked team in the Southeast Asian region, followed by Viet Nam, and Myanmar at 137th.
Notably, Laos have climbed 15 spots to 154th, and Cambodia have moved up 14 slots to 185th. Meanwhile, Thailand have dropped seven places to 165th and are ranked eighth in the region.
In Asia, Viet Nam are ranked 20th, while the top three teams are Iran, Japan and Uzbekistan.
Germany still lead the world rankings, followed by Argentina and Colombia.
The next FIFA rankings will be announced on November 27. — VNS
