HCM CITY  (VNS) — The Viet Nam Fund for supporting para-sports was launched in HCM City on Thursday.

The fund will operate under the sponsorship and supervision of the Russia Fund for supporting Paralympic Sports and will aim to develop para-sports in Viet Nam.

It will provide funds to buy equipment, employ foreign coaches for disabled athletes in the track-and-field, swimming, weightlifting and badminton sporting categories, as well as help build sport centres for para-athletes.— VNS
