Viet Nam's U19 team lost to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) 3-1 in a friendly match at the Shah Alam stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday.

According to coach Mai Duc Chung the match was a good test for his players before they travel to the 2012 Asia U19 Championship finals in the UAE next month.

The team who returned home yesterday will take part in a 10-day training programme starting on October 25 at the Aspire Institute in Qatar where they will have two friendly matches with Poland's U21 team. — VNS
