HA NOI (VNS)– Le Quang Liem is the only Vietnamese chess master invited to compete at the World Mind Games which will be held from December 12-18 in Beijing, China.

The chess event at the Games will involve 16 men and 16 women from the world's top 20.

Liem, who is in 42nd position, has received one of three wild cards from the World Chess Federation due to his success at June's World Blitz Chess Championships in Russia. He won the victory trophy.—VNS
