Viet Nam rise in FIFA world rankings

HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam have jumped two spots to 130th in the March rankings, according to the Federation of International Football Association.

The Philippines rose four spots to 128th and took the lead in the Southeast Asian region, followed by Viet Nam and Thailand (142nd). Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore shared the 153rd spot.

In Asia, Iran dropped one spot to 42nd, but led in the region, followed by Japan at 53rd.

World champions Germany continued to stay ahead of Argentina and Colombia, while Spain dropped out of the top 10 for the first time since January 2007.

The next FIFA rankings will be announced on April 9. — VNS
