Viet Nam have won 29 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze medals so far at the ongoing 16th ASEAN University Games in Vientiane, Laos.

Vietnamese athletes have claimed nine titles; taekwondo martial artists eight; muay and karate fighters four each.

Viet Nam currently rank second behind Malaysia, who have 36 golds, 23 silvers and 34 bronzes.

Thailand are in third with 22 golds, 29 silvers and 22 bronzes.
