HA NOI (VNS)—Viet Nam yesterday won a silver medal in the men's team prone rifle event at the 37th Southeast Asian Shooting Championships (SEASA) in Malaysia.
Trio Nguyen Duy Hoang, Nguyen Thanh Dat and Phung Le Huyen did not make the top three in the individual event, but their total points of 1,747 were enough to take second ranking.
The top place went to Singapore (1,752), while host Malaysia came third (1,746).
Earlier, Le Nghia grabbed two gold medal in the men's trap event and his teammates won the men's team air rifle category.
In the second day of the competitions on Thursday, the team also pocketed three silvers – Hoang Thi Tuat in the women's trap event, the men's team in the 50m pistol pool and Phan Quang Vinh in the men's air rifle contest.
The annual tournament will end next Tuesday.— VNS
