Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in South Korea from June 29-July 6.
Viet Nam will send 159 members to take part in the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in South Korea from June 29-July 6.
The delegation, led by Lam Quang Thanh, deputy head of the National Sports Administration, will compete in billiards & snooker, chess, swimming, muay, kick boxing, dance, kurash, kabaddi, go chess, e-sports and futsal.
Vietnamese athletes are expected to win in chess, muay and dance.
The Asian Indoor Games is a biennial event which made its debut in 2005 in Bangkok. In its first edition, it attracted sportsmen from 37 countries and territories.
Viet Nam won the rights to host the third Games in 2009.
The Asian Martial Arts Games is a multi-sport event held every two years. The games are regulated by the Olympic Council of Asia.
This year, it will merge with the Asian Indoor Games to become the Asian Indoor-Martial Arts Games, which will be held once every four years.-VNS
