HA NOI (VNS) — Despite falling short in the semi-finals of the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup, Viet Nam's national football team would still receive a bonus of VND5 billion (US$240,000), the Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) has confirmed.
The reward is from the ASEAN Football Federation, the VFF and sponsors.
"The VFF has not changed its decision to award the national team. Reaching the semi-finals was a great team effort. Coach Toshiya Miura and his players deserve the bonus," said Le Hoai Anh, general secretary of the VFF.
The players will receive their prize money next month after Japanese coach Miura completes his report. — VNS
