HA NOI (VNS)- Viet Nam will compete in the Asian Badminton Championships in Chinese Taipei on April 16.
Nguyen Tien Minh, who is ranked World No 9, will be among the country's top players at the event.
The HCM City-native is seeded No 5 at the event, behind China's Chen Long, Du Pengyu, Hong Kong's Hu Yun and India's Parupalli Kashyap.
Minh will play against Chan Yan Kit of Hong Kong in the first round.
Besides Minh, there are three other Vietnamese players competing in the main round of the men's singles including Do Duc Tuan, Nguyen Hoang Nam and Pham Cao Cuong.
In addition, Le Thu Huyen and Vu Thi Trang will compete in the women's singles, while Duong Bao Duc and Nguyen Hoang Nam and Trang and Nguyen Thi Sen will play in the men's and women's doubles, respectively.
The event, which attracts the participation of 24 nations and territories, will end on April 21. – VNS
