Host's No 2 seed Ngo Quang Huy lost 0-6, 4-6, 3-6 to visiting team's No 1 Aqueel Khan.

In the second match, No 1 Nguyen Hoang Thien of Viet Nam beat Muhammad Abid 6-3, 6-2, 6-0.

In the only doubles match today, Le Quoc Khanh in pair with Trinh Linh Giang will play Khan and Asiam Qureshi.
