According to the rules, only three Olympic Asian leading teams, in groups A, B and C, are given official invitations to London this summer. Each group's second place team will compete with an African team, in fourth place, in the qualification round. The match will take place on April 12 in England.
At present, Asian teams taking part in the Olympic play-off round are not determined because they haven't finished the second leg of this third round.
Temporary leading teams from groups A, B and C are from South Korea, Uzbekistan and Japan. Teams in second place of each group include Oman, Iraq and Syria, respectively.
Viet Nam team's was rejected from the Asian qualification round of the Olympic Games after being defeated 1-6 by Saudi Arabia in the second round. – VNS
