Viet Nam will play Brunei at the opener of the 28th Southeast Asian Games' football matches in Singapore, according to a schedule sent from the organisers on Saturday.

HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam will play Brunei at the opener of the 28th Southeast Asian Games' football matches in Singapore, according to a schedule sent from the organisers on Saturday.

The Group B match is set for May 29.

Viet Nam will next face Malaysia on June 2, Laos on June 4, East Timor on June 7, and Thailand on June 10.

Viet Nam has set a target of being one of the semi-finalists.

Players will start training on May 5 in Ha Noi. They will have two international friendly matches and two games with local teams as warm-up activities for the Games. — VNS
