HA NOI (VNS) — The National Sports Administration will invest VND3.8 billion (US$180,000) to train 11 Vietnamese disabled athletes to help them earn cards for competing in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in Brazil.
At present, these athletes have achievements equivalent to Paralympic medallists in events, such as swimming, athletics and weightlifting.
Viet Nam's medal winning hopes are being pinned on Asian gold medallists Vo Thanh Tung and Nguyen Thanh Trung for swimming. — VNS
