Viet Nam won their second silver medal in the women's event of the Asian Beach Games' sepak takraw on Thursday in Haiyang City, China.
The Vietnamese women won three and lost one to take second position. They first beat the hosts 15-12, 15-9, 15-7 before coming out on top over Indonesia 15-8, 15-10, 15-8. Their Laos match was an easy victory of 15-11, 15-8, 15-8. Their only loss was to Thailand 13-15, 6-15, 9-15 on Tuesday.
With two silvers, Viet Nam entered the Top 10 in the ranking table.
They hope to update the medal tally this afternoon after the bronze-medal match against Thailand in the women's handball event.
The annual Games wrapped up yesterday after 11 days of competition.
The fourth edition will be held in Phuket Island, Thailand in 2014 while Viet Nam will be the host of the next one in 2016. — VNS
