Vietnamese asked to paint Apple man

Vietnamese people are invited to take part in a contest to design a book of paintings focusing on the life and career of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

HA NOI (VNS)— Vietnamese people are invited to take part in a contest to design a book of paintings focusing on the life and career of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

According to the organising committee, the book should have between 25 and 46 pages and include the 21 oil paintings that were on display in Ha Noi early this month at the exhibition Think Different, which celebrated Jobs' many contributions to the field of technology.

The paintings on display and information about the contest can be seen on www.ramgallery.net.

"With the contest, we hope to encourage the creativity of young Vietnamese people and help them feel more confident in their talent and in their future," says Nguyen Duc Tien, who planned both the exhibition and the contest.

According to Tien, the best works from the contest will be published in e-books.

The contest, which is also organised by Vietnam News Agency's online magazine VietnamPlus, will run until November 7.-VNS
