HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese dancesport (competitive ballroom dancing) couple Phạm Trung Hòa and Nguyễn Mỹ Trang have entered the top 30 best Latin dance couples in the world for middle-aged competitors, as announced by the World DanceSport Federation on Tuesday.
At the recent Cyprus Open 2025 and Nice - France Open 2025 organised by the World Dancesport Federation in Europe, the duo won three bronze medals and ranked in the top six overall in the Latin category.
These prestigious tournaments attracted many dancers from countries including France, Austria, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal. Hòa and Trang were the only representatives from Asia to participate in both events.
Trang expressed her excitement, stating: "We were fortunate to compete in the Republic of Cyprus on April 30, during the country's jubilant celebration of National Reunification Day. We felt immensely proud to stand on the podium and receive our first two bronze medals in Cyprus, and to see the Vietnamese flag displayed on the tournament leaderboard."
"After these two major international tournaments in Europe, we are not only proud of our achievements but also grateful for the opportunity to showcase our national pride and introduce Việt Nam and Vietnamese sports to our international friends," she added.

Hòa is a coach and dancesport athlete with 18 years of professional experience. He currently serves as the Director of the VietsDance Centre in Hà Nội, where Trang has been training for the past eight years. Trang, a businesswoman, began practicing dancesport in 2017 and only started competing professionally in international tournaments in September 2023. VNS
