In open-standard chess that wrapped up on Sunday, the top seed Le Quang Liem finished outside of the top 10 players.
The champion, Negi Parimarjan of India, runner-up Yu Yangyi of China, and third Salem A R Saleh of the United Arab Emirates won three tickets to the Chess World Cup 2013.
Two remaining tickets went to Liu Qingnan of China and Barbosa Oliver of the Philippines.
In the women's standard chess, Sukandar Irine Kharisma of Indonesia finished first to win the only ticket to the 2014 Women's World Championships.-VNS
