(VNS) — All roads leading to the Thu Le Communal House, a national heritage building located at Quang Phuoc Commune in central Thua Thien - Hue Province, were busy yesterday morning. Thousands of people flocked to the house's yard for traditional wrestling. As a Lunar New Year tradition, the village holds a wrestling festival on the sixth day of the New Year for the entertainment of the local people as well as to teach the youth about traditional values. The event also encourages the youth to train the year round for the games to gain respect on each festive season.
Viet Nam News's Phuoc Buu took photos of the festival.
