Visit Open Studio to learn more about art


The Friends of Viet Nam Heritage will host a visit on Sunday to the Open Studio, operated by two expat artists living and painting in Ha Noi.
The painting Thieu Nu Ha Noi (Hanoian Young Lady) by George Burchett. The artist and his wife, Ilza Burchett, will welcome art lovers to their Open Studio on Sunday.
HA NOI  (VNS) — The Friends of Viet Nam Heritage will host a visit on Sunday to the Open Studio, operated by two expat artists living and painting in Ha Noi.

George and Ilza Burchett will host visitors at their studio/home, where visitors can view the art and talk with the artists about their works.

George Burchett, born in Ha Noi in 1955, is the son of legendary Australian journalist Wilfred Burchett. George Burchett studied art in Paris and graduated with a master's degree in mural art from the Fine Arts Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Ilza Burchett studied painting and mural art at the Fine Arts Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria and graduated with a master's degree in fine art in 1978. Since then, she has worked as an artist and has exhibited in Europe, Australia, South East Asia and China.

The visit will take place from 11am to 12.30pm. Open Studio is located at 5B/12 Dang Thai Mai Street. Cost: VND100,000. Registration: Maureen at maureen.lewis2013@gmail.com— VNS
