HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam have won two bronze medals at the ongoing World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.
The medals have been won by the men's taekwondo poomsae (performance) team who finished third with 7.150 points and the mixed doubles team with 7.390 points.
"Our team competed tasks set ahead of the Games. They have to compete against strong rivals from all over the world," Coach Nguyen Thanh Huy said.
The hosts are on top of the medal table with 31 gold, 23 silver and 19 bronze medals. China and Russia are placed second and third, respectively.
More than 13,000 players from 143 teams are competing in 21 sporting events for 272 sets of medals.
The games, which began on July 3, will end on July 14. — VNS
