Vietnamese wrestlers had a disappointing day at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships in the US yesterday.

Pham Thi Loan lost to Roksana Marta Zasina of Poland in the first round of the women's 58kg category, and in the women's 48kg division, Vu Thi Hanh was defeated by Alyssa Rae Nicole Lampe of the US.

Silver medallist at the 16th Asian Games, Nguyen Thi Lua was the most successful athlete in the Viet Nam team, ranking ninth out of 40 athletes in the women's 53kg division. — VNS
