HA NOI (VNS) — A drama directed by Phi Tien Son will be screened at the fourth ASEAN-Prague Film festival to be held in Prague, the Czech Republic, from September 8 to 12.
The movie, entitled Dam Me (Passion), which shows the various passions of a modern family's members, will be screened together with other films from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, all of which have embassies in Prague. The festive will be held at Lucerne Cinema in downtown Prague.
Viet Nam's Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son said the film would help the Czech audience understand modern Vietnamese society, where there could be various disputes even within normal families.
The festival this year is entitled ASEAN – A Vision, an Identity and a Community. In the previous years, Viet Nam sent movies such as Chuyen Cua Pao (Pao's Story) by Director Ngo Quang Hai (2012); Canh Dong Bat Tan (Floating Lives) by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh (2013); and Lua Phat (Once Upon a Time in Viet Nam) by Dustin Nguyen (2014). — VNS
