HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam is introducing its opportunities for tourism at a roadshow in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Many famous destinations were showcased at the event, including Da Nang, Quang Binh, Binh Thuan, and Sa Pa.
The programme is one of the National Administration of Tourism's activities to promote Viet Nam's images, culture and tourism products, as well as push up the amount of travel between the two countries.
Speaking at a conference held during the five-day event, Nguyen Quoc Hung, deputy head of the administration, said Viet Nam always welcomed tourists from all over the world, including Indonesians.
He pledged that services and products in Viet Nam would satisfy the demands of all visitors.
Viet Nam would also create favourable conditions for tourism enterprises and tour agencies on both sides so they could work together to ensure their businesses profited.
In recent years, tourism has been considered an effective area for co-operation between the two countries.
Viet Nam regards Indonesia as a key area for its tourism marketing strategy.
The number of Indonesian visitors has increased sharply, with more than 28,600 in the first six months, putting the archipelago in Viet Nam's top 20 biggest markets.
Viet Nam receives a lot of attention from not only Indonesia, but also other countries.
In 2013, nearly 43, 300 Vietnamese tourists arrived in Indonesia.
The roadshow, which is being held by the administration, the Viet Nam Embassy in Jakarta and Vietnam Airlines, will close today.
