HA NOI (VNS) — Two new stamps were released yesterday in Viet Nam and Singapore to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relation between the two countries.
The stamps were designed in the same size and style. The first stamp, which was designed by Singaporean painter Eng Siak Loy, bears the image of a rare wild Singaporean chicken. The other stamp released in Viet Nam was designed by Vietnamese painter To Minh Trang bearing the image of a wild yellow-faced chicken.
According to Nguyen Boi Lan, an official from the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Viet Nam Postal Corporation and its Singaporean counterpart had a long time co-operation. This is the second time the two agencies have released the common stamp set.
