HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam finished fourth at the 17th ASEAN University Games (AUG), which wrapped up yesterday in Indonesia.

In the final two days of competition, the students earned four gold and seven silver medals. Overall, Viet Nam students were awarded 27 gold medals, 15 silver medals and two bronze medals, coming in fourth.

Pencak silat martial artists were the latest winners, taking home titles in men's, women's and team seni (performance) categories, along with one in tanding (combat) class.

Hosts Indonesia dominated the Games, winning 64 titles. Thailand and Malaysia finished second and third, respectively.

The next AUG will be held in Singapore. — VNS
