The Vietnamese men's team has won a silver medal at the second Mind Sports Games' Chinese chess contest in France.
After nine rounds, Viet Nam's Nguyen Hoang Lam and Nguyen Thanh Bao were in sixth and eighth positions in the men's individual category, enough for them to stand second on the ranking table.
On the women's side, the Chinese team also dominated, grabbing all three medals in the individual class.
Viet Nam's Cao Phuong Thanh was fourth.
The tournament, which ends on August 23, features the so-called "mind sports" of bridge, chess, draughts (checkers), go (weiqi) and Chinese chess.
In the first Games of its kind four years ago, the team came home with one silver and two bronze medals. — VNS
