HA NOI (VNS)– Viet Nam made a huge step towards the semifinals of the Southeast Asian Under-16 Football Championship yesterday after trouncing Cambodia 6-0 in their second match.
Their second victory in a row in Myanmar's capital Naypyidaw puts Viet Nam in a commanding position to secure a place in the last four.
Bach Hong Han broke the deadlock six minutes from the break to put Viet Nam ahead during a defensive first half from both sides.
The second half was a different story as Viet Nam dominated to score five more goals.
Han opened the floodgates by adding his second just two minutes in before later sealing his hat trick in the game's dying moments.
The other goals were scored by Hoang The Tai in the 54th minute, Le Tien Anh in the 71st minute and Nguyen Doan Trung Nhan in the last minute.
Viet Nam will next play Australia. – VNS
