HA NOI – Viet Nam won three gold medals at the Thailand Open Karate-do Championship, which ended in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 30.
The gold medals went to Do Ha Mi in the women's individual kata (performance), Tran Thi Khanh Vy in the women's 50kg kumite (fighting) and Nguyen Thi Hong Anh in the women's over-68kg kumite events.
The five-day championship drew 930 martial arts fighters from 32 nations and territories.
The championship was organised by the Thailand Karate Federation in conjunction with the Sports Authority of Thailand and the Asian Karate-do Federation. – VNS
