HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's national women's football team remained world No 34, according to the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA)'s latest rankings.
The team made an impressive jump to fourth place in the 17th Asian Games in September in Incheon, South Korea.
With 1,630 points, Viet Nam ranked second in the Southeast Asian region. World No 31 Thailand took the lead with 1,651 points while world No 44 Myanmar came third with 1,530 points.
In Asia, Viet Nam ranked seventh. Japan took the lead with 2,084 points, followed by North Korea with 1,981 points and Australia with 1,957 points.
In the world rankings, Germany took the top spot, with the US second and France third. — VNS
